Where is the cynical “freedom of navigation” proclaimed by the US to justify the patrolling of all seas and oceans by its seven naval fleets?

Added to this is the attack on Venezuelan civilian boats and the summary execution of more than 80 Venezuelan citizens on the accusation—without any evidence—that they are “drug traffickers,” which constitutes extraterritorial “extrajudicial killings.”

The authorization granted by the US president to his secret services and armed forces to assassinate President Nicolas Maduro and execute a “regime change” in Venezuela is equally grave.

Donald Trump’s assertions that Venezuela’s oil and mineral resources rightfully belong to the United States and will be seized by them are equally alarming.

This is a neocolonial stance of plunder and pillage that blatantly violates international law, the UN Charter, the sovereignty of each country over its airspace, and the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea.

It should be noted that there has been no formal declaration of war by the United States against Venezuela, as such a declaration can only be decided upon by Congress.

These open and illegal aggressions by the United States against Venezuela are carried out in the expectation that it will react defensively, so that the US can then play the “victim” and attack it by all possible means, creating a serious military conflict in the Americas, declared by its countries to be a “Zone of Peace.”

The newly released “United States National Security Strategy” emphasizes that the focus extends beyond Venezuela to encompass all of Latin America—viewed as the ’backyard’ of the US—which is considered a region to be exploited, drawing on the notorious “Monroe Doctrine” and its modern adaptation known as the “Trump corollary.”

If Venezuela is subjugated, it will set a precedent for all of Latin America to become the next target!

For these reasons, we not only denounce and repudiate the aggression of the United States against the Venezuelan people, whom we consider our brothers and sisters, but we also urge all exploited and oppressed peoples and nations to unite in their defense.

We invite everyone to participate in the “First International Anti-Fascist Conference for the Sovereignty of Peoples,” scheduled to take place in Porto Alegre, Brazil, from March 26 to 29, 2026. Our goal is to establish a robust global movement that is both anti-fascist and anti-imperialist and aims to effectively resist these aggressions.
