Preparations for the Autumn Gathering generally begin nine to ten months before the event. This year, we got the process underway in February, launching the first discussions on the programme. Over the following weeks, the programme gradually took shape through discussions, meetings, reading, and the various interests and inspirations of members of the organising team.

Once the themes for the various conferences and workshops have been clearly defined, the next step is to divide the work into pairs. Each pair is responsible for organising one or more conferences or workshops. They explore the topic in greater depth, identify potential speakers with relevant expertise, and put forward proposals to the rest of the team to shape the highest-quality session possible.

Once the speakers have been confirmed, each pair contacts them to extend the invitation. In the next stage, they work together with the speakers to develop the content and format of the workshop or conference.

Meanwhile, our communications coordinator spent countless hours experimenting with different designs and developing the visual identity for the 2026 edition of the Autumn Gathering. Through successive iterations and collective feedback, we arrived at the poster you see above—one that the whole team is genuinely proud of.

In short, everyone is hard at work to make the 2026 Autumn Gathering another resounding success!

We are now entering the communications phase of the event. Over the coming weeks, we will be promoting the Autumn Gathering through social media, poster campaigns, flyer distribution, and by taking part in events such as Esperanzah !
