What emancipatory horizon for dealing with Debt?

The pandemic crisis and the looming new debt crisis highlight once again how the system in which we live is incapable of proposing solutions that will enable us to tackle this crisis in a lasting way. More than ever, it is urgent to think collectively about what steps we must take to avoid a way out that leads to increased exploitation and inequalities. This year we are in the 150th anniversary of the Paris Commune, one of the richest experiences for emancipatory movements. More recently, the feminist movement has proposed fundamental contributions to think about strategies for a social alternative, including in the field of debt. This is why we propose to meet (virtually) this Sunday at the conference “WHAT EMANCIPATIVE HORIZON IN THE FACE OF DEBT?” in which we will try to explore the hypotheses that can help us move forward in this direction. We will be joined by Tithi Battacharya, Stathis Kouvelakis, Fatima Zahra and Éric Toussaint.

Sunday 3 October, from 18:00 to 20:00, online conference "What emancipatory horizon in the face of debt?
