This analytical report is dedicated to the Haitian people whose voice the world refuses to hear, to all those from Haiti or in exile elsewhere who long for the sun of their island, to those who fight and resist the gangs, institutional violence, and numerous attempts at recolonisation.

To those who have fallen over the past 25 years under the impact of the UN peace and security missions, under the strike of the gangs, armed groups, and the Haitian police forces.

To all those who died of hunger, or of illness due to a lack of adequate treatment, who died from exhaustion in their struggle for survival in a hostile environment. To all the migrants who died at sea, in the desert, on the improbable road to exile; to all those facing institutional and structural racism, xenophobia, and unchecked violence from North American racist groups.
