At the CADTM South Asia workshop in Colombo, held from Thursday 30 January to Saturday 1 February, Abdul Khaliq gave an update on the economic, political and social situation in Pakistan. The country is very close to default and is a favourite prey of the International Monetary Fund, which has signed 24 agreements with the Pakistani government since 1953.
